Email Configuration Setup
You are able to retrieve your email with a mail-client/program of your choice via POP3 / IMAP.
Email configuration set-up instructions differ between programs. However, all share the basic configuration settings:
|Outgoing mail (SMTP) Server:||Your ISP’s outgoing mail server or mail.yourdomain.com|
|Incoming mail (POP3) Server:||mail.yourdomain.com|
|Email Address:||Your email address|
|Username:||Your email address|
|Password:||Your email password|
(Replace yourdomain.com with your domain name. E.g. our website domain is www.advertisingsolutions.co.za, so that means it should be mail.advertisingsolutions.co.za)
South African SMTP (Outgoing Mail) Servers
When making use of a South African ISP (Internet Service Provider) they supply you with an SMTP server through which your sent email is routed. You need to configure your email client and set the outgoing server to the detail below that corresponds with your ISP. You should also specify that your outgoing server doesn’t require authentication, and most of the time, no encryption is used, usually, the standard SMTP port of 25 is used.

Vodacom: smtp.vodacom.co.za / smtp.vodamail.co.za
Cell C: mail.cmobile.co.za
Internet Solutions (IS) ADSL: smtp.isdsl.net
Internet Solutions 3G: smtp.isgms.net or smtp.dial-up.net
ABSA: smtp.absamail.co.za or mail.absa.co.za
Web Africa: smtp.wa.co.za
Axxess DSL: smtp.axxess.co.za
